Dust jacket and interior illustrations by Sam Burley.
Note: There is a limit of one copy per person/household.
The second printing of House of Chains:
- Contains all of the illustrations from the original numbered edition;
- Is printed on 60# Lynx paper (instead of 80# due to the length of the book);
- The image on the front boards of the book will be stamped in two colors rather than embossed;
- The book edges are not gilded.
We’ve continued to work with marbling artist Jemma Lewis for the endsheet art. We licensed a custom piece she created based on the cover art. This is a grey-brown Stormont pattern, with black, brown, and cream veins. The Stormont dates back to the early 19th century, and it is one of the earliest patterns to use turpentine to create the lace effect in the paint.
Jemma Lewis's marbling art is considered to be some of the best around the world. Subterranean Press has previously used her sheets for our lettered edition of Full Throttle.
