This fine press edition of Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin is limited to two hundred & seventy-six copies for sale, and is presented in two states: Lettered and Limited. The edition measures 6¼” x 9¼” and features six black & white illustrations by Richey Beckett, as well as an exclusive introduction by Academy Award winning writer/director, Jordan Peele. Also included is an afterword by Ira Levin which originally appeared in the 2003 New American Library edition. The editions are signed by Richey Beckett and Jordan Peele, and are printed letterpress.

This fine press edition of Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin is limited to two hundred & seventy-six copies for sale, and is presented in two states: Lettered and Limited. The edition measures 6¼” x 9¼” and features six black & white illustrations by Richey Beckett, as well as an exclusive introduction by Academy Award winning writer/director, Jordan Peele. The Limited edition is a quarter leather binding and is limited to 250 copies for sale. The goatskin spine is stamped with silver foil, and the boards are covered in Japanese cloth. Endpapers feature flecks of metallic gold and silver, and the edition is printed letterpress on Mohawk Superfine. It is housed in a cloth covered, foil stamped slipcase.

About the Artist

Richey Beckett is an illustrator, based in rural Wales, UK. Working predominantly in pen and ink, he has gained recognition for his intricately detailed record covers, movie posters, and screen printed artwork.

Beckett uses traditional pen and ink methods to create lavishly detailed pieces of black and white illustration. Taking influence from historic biblical, literary and natural history illustrators and engravers such as Doré, Dürer, Audubon and Bewick, along with the decorative flair of Art Nouveau, he creates his own organic world which expands with each new piece. Richey has created art for Metallica, The Grateful Dead, Mondo (A Game Of ThronesThe Lord Of The RingsArmy Of Darkness), Foo Fighters, Robert Plant, AMC (The Walking Dead) and The British Film Institute. Richey’s illustrations for Rosemary’s Baby are printed letterpress along with the text.

About the Author of the Introduction

Jordan Peele is an actor, writer, producer, director, and is the founder of Monkeypaw Productions. Following five seasons as a cast member on Mad TV and finding success on his own sketch comedy series Key & Peele, Jordan Peele landed a recurring role in the first season of the FX anthology series, Fargo, based on the film of the same name. In 2017, Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, earned wide critical acclaim, winning him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, along with nominations for Best Picture and Best Director. Peele cited the novel Rosemary’s Babyamong his greatest influences in writing Get Out. His second directorial feature, a psychological horror film called Us, is due to be released in March 2019.
