Another great review for Harlan Ellison's Blood's a Rover, and a note on signed trade copies

Bloods a Rover by Harlan Ellison

Harlan Ellison's legendary Blood's a Rover has picked up another pre-publication review that will push it closer to out-of-print on publication status.

This one's from Booklist, and reads, in part:

“Vic and Blood’s complete adventures are collected here in a definitive edition of the original 1969 novella, ‘A Boy and His Dog,’ later stories, and screenplays from an unproduced television series. Despite the decades-long difference between the oldest and newest tales, the book is tonally consistent, with the welcome exception of a far stronger female character in the later material… There’s some sharp satire present, but the narrative soars highest during the action scenes, when Ellison (Gentleman Junkie, 2013) juggles frenzied battles with masterful style.”

Incidentally, the editor for this project, Jason Davis, has been kind enough to sign approximately 100 signature sheets to be tipped into the trade edition. Our lifetimers will get copies, of course, as will Harlan and Jason. The rest will be distributed randomly through copies ordered direct from SubPress and our regular specialty retailers.

Trade: Fully cloth bound hardcover copies: $40
