We're inordinately pleased to announce that we're finally making progress on Neil Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors. Dave McKean has begun work on the illustrations—you can see the signature page here—as well as the design. With some luck, he expects to finish his work in September, at which point we'll hop to the proofreading and cleaning up any remaining design issues. Thanks to everyone for their patience as we work to put out a book that matches the overwhelming quality of the stories within.

Smoke and Mirrors will be printed in two colors throughout, likely on a paper we've never used before—Dave has some specific ideas in mind, which we'll try to bring to life. The lettered edition will be a special creature unto itself, housed in a custom box devised by Dave.
