Like many people right now, author Tim Pratt has found himself in a tight spot. He and his family are down to one income at the moment–his. Not one to let life get him down, Tim is doing what he does best to support his family–write. His current project is a serialized, donation-funded urban fantasy novella starring his series protagonist Marla Mason – the star of Blood Engines, Poison Sleep, and other fine novels.

The first installment of the Bone Shop will be posted on June 29th, with weekly installments following. You’ll get a rare glimpse into Marla’s early life, before she became the chief sorcerer of Felport. We can easily say that Tim’s tales are worth reading as we’ve featured them in the past (“Her Voice in a Bottle”) and will in the future, with a fine comedic time travel novelette, “Troublesolving”.
