Subterranean Online Update — Gardner Dozois Issue in Hand!
This week over at Subterranean Online, we’ve published the first part of a gonzo sf novelette, “Grail-Diving in Shangrilla with the World’s Last Mime” by hot new writer Ken Scholes, whose upcoming epic fantasy debut, Lamentation, has buzz growing that it might be the hot debut of 2009.
In addition, legendary editor Gardner Dozois, whose stint at Asimov’s was a huge influence on SubPress, has turned in almost all of the contents for the Spring 2009 issue of the mag. In addition to a 25,000 word novella by Paul McAuley, his issue will feature novelettes by Ken MacLeod, Joe R. Lansdale, Liz Williams, an original audio story by Elizabeth Bear, an early taste of our Jack Vance tribute anthology by Lucius Shepard, and even more. The Dozois-edited issue will be, by far, the largest issue of the online magazine yet.
