Connie Willis and Cory Doctorow Win LOCUS Awards

The Winds of Marble ArchCongratulations to Connie Willis, who just snagged the Locus Award for Best Collection for her mammoth (nearly 300k words) gathering of tales, The Winds from Marble Arch and Other Stories. The book’s a treasure trove of all things Willis from classics such as “Blued Moon”, and “Fire Watch” to a number of stories that haven’t been collected before.

Subterranean OnlineCongrats are also in order for Cory Doctorow who walked off with the award for Best Novella for “After the Siege.” As luck would have it, we’d already chosen this tale of Cory’s to be our audio for the current issue of Subterranean Online. It’s over there now, in its two hours plus glory, just waiting for fans to appreciate it. Enjoy.

Look for the next issue of Subterranean Online to start next week, with original fiction by Mike Resnick (a new “Kirinyaga” universe novella), plus tales by the likes of David Prill, Tim Pratt, and a number of others.
