George R. R. Martin’s FEVRE DREAM at the Printer

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Fevre DreamFinally, after years too long in the coming — thanks to everyone for their patience — George R. R. Martin’s landmark vampire novel, Fevre Dream, is finally at the printer. Head over to the book’s page to check out some of the dark and wondrous art from the pen and brush of Justin Sweet. At this point, we expect books to be in our hands in December, and slipcases in January. Trust us, this is going to be one of the best-looking limited editions we’ve ever done. After viewing all of the art, the design elements and typography, George and we feel it will have been worth the long, frustrating birth. Again, thanks to everyone for their patience.

Publishers Weekly on AFTER THE WAR by Tim Lebbon

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

After the WarPublishers Weekly found much to like in After the War, the two novellas that make up Tim Lebbon’s new collection set in his imaginary world of Noreela: “Whereas the first of these tales is indisputably fantastic in terms of its imagery and set pieces, the second reads like a straight crime caper set in an exotic land. In each, Lebbon vividly describes the landscape and local color. Readers who have enjoyed other books in the Noreela series will find these tales a tide-me-over until the next full-length novel.”

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

The Other Teddy RooseveltsBooklist magazine just looked upon Mike Resnick’s tales of The Other Teddy Roosevelts most kindly: “…altogether they conjure an entertaining vision of a legendary figure in legendary situations. Resnick leaves you feeling that, if ever a president successfully hunted vampires, it would be TR.”

Reprinting Connie Willis and Charles de Lint

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

The Winds of Marble ArchGiven the strong sales of Connie Willis’s The Winds of Marble Arch and Other Stories, we’ve just ordered a reprint of the trade hardcover edition, due in our offices around the nineteenth of November. Given the hundreds of orders we’re already sitting on for this title, the second printing may well not last more than a month or two after publication, so readers are encouraged to get their orders in early.

Also being reprinted is the trade hardcover edition of Charles de Lint’s exploration of Jilly Coppercorn’s younger years, Promises to Keep. This title was virtually out of print on publication, and we’ve had a steady flow of orders ever since. Get your order in for the second printing early, or risk missing out again.
