Kelley Armstrong—Forbidden in Stock and Shipping

Forbidden by Kelley Armstrong

Kelley Armstrong's long new novella, Forbidden, has been shipping for the past few days. Our stalwart warehouse crew has sent out two-thirds of the signed, limited edition orders thus far, with the rest, as well as the trade edition, to follow shortly. As a reminder, large online bookstores and our wholesalee accounts will not receive copies of the limited edition. The trade hardcover should be in good supply out in the world.

We're also at work on the Forbidden ebook. Look for it to be published in the next two weeks.

About the Book:

Subterranean Press is pleased to present a long Otherworld novella by Kelley Armstrong, featuring a number of full-color illustrations by Angilram. The Trade Hardcover of Forbidden will feature a full-color dust jacket as well as four full-color interior illustrations. The Signed Limited Edition will have a completely different dust jacket, full-color endsheets, and two additional full-color illustrations not in the Trade.

The team-spirit sign by the side of the highway seems a good omen to loner Morgan Walsh, as he drives to what could be the most important visit of his life—a chance to join the North American Pack. Then he wakes naked in the woods, surrounded by wolf tracks and a ring of suspicious cops. The situation only gets worse when he's bailed out by Alpha-elect Elena Michaels and Clayton Danvers, her terrifying enforcer and mate.

Disappointed that such a promising young werewolf risked exposing them, Elena isn't expecting anything from the pesky retrieval job except some much-needed alone time with Clay. Instead, she finds a different kind of evil stalking the streets and forests of Westwood, New York. Trapped in town by a snowstorm and sabotage, Elena, Clay and Morgan must find the mysterious threat before it sets its sights on them.

Limited: 1000 signed numbered hardcover copies, bound in leather, with a different dust jacket than the trade edition: $48
Trade: Fully cloth bound hardcover edition: $28

From SF Revu:
“This novella packs a big punch… If you've never read any of Armstrong's previous Otherworld stories, you could start with this one—it is complete in itself and while you might miss some of the emotional interplay (and why it's happening), there is enough information to get you up to speed on the story and world.”

From Publishers Weekly:
“Bestseller Armstrong’s latest Otherworld stand-alone novella, set after the events of 2010’s Frostbitten, is an appetizing morsel of a mystery sure to whet appetites for the rest of the series…With sneaky, surprising pacing and well-drawn likable characters, Armstrong capably uncovers the darkness underlying a quintessential small American town.”
